Drinking liquid disturbs your digestion and essentially flushes away a lot of the nutrients. It’s also much easier to lose sight of your glass of wine when sipping alongside your meal. Although 30 minutes before and after liquid still interrupts digestion, it’s better to drink before or after the food is served.
