Communicate. You Don’t Have to Do This Alone.

Communicate. You Don’t Have to Do This Alone.

Sometimes asking for help can be hard. But even when your coach is standing right beside you, they cannot feel what you are feeling. This principle of The ATTIKA Way is a reminder of what your Coach is here for and why communicating is the best way to get the most out of your training.

"I worried everyone would be looking at me"

"I worried everyone would be looking at me"

Joining a new gym to start a training program can be really daunting. Ignacio´s journey shows that if you are feeling nervous to start, that missing piece of confidence is the exact reason you need to. And that confidence is built far beyond the appearance of bigger muscles, but through the new capabilities achieved along the way.

Are you stretching long enough?

Are you stretching long enough?

Most of us stretch at some point. Maybe you hold your foot to stretch your quad five seconds after a workout. Or you bounce around a little and wave your arms around before training. But what´s actually recommended to improve flexibility and range of motion? How can I stretch effectively to make a difference? This guide will help you understand the different ways to stretch, when to use them,...

Do you still prioritise yourself when it´s no longer easy?

Do you still prioritise yourself when it´s no longer easy?

It's easy to believe that you'll look after yourself once life becomes less demanding. But for many of us, life doesn't suddenly become quiet. Liora's story reminds us that sometimes showing up for yourself when it´s difficult is the biggest reward, and that the seasons when it feels hardest to prioritise yourself are the seasons when you need it the most.

The cold plunge was never about the cold

The cold plunge was never about the cold

Since guiding cold plunges at ATTIKA, Teo reflects on the true lesson of the icy water and the right way to experience it. Rather than pushing yourself into the cold, it's about knowing that you can be uncomfortable. If you´re questioning whether to try it, this blog post is a good example of just one of the many benefits.

Every breath is a chance to reset

Every breath is a chance to reset

Are you aware of your breath when you move? A huge part of training well is being conscious. In this blog, we share how using your breath during strength training can help you stay present, move with more awareness, and reset when things don't go to plan.

Does Strength Training Make You Stiff?

Does Strength Training Make You Stiff?

We've all seen the stereotype before. The heavily muscled bodybuilder who looks like they can lift a car, but struggles to scratch their own back. It's easy to assume that those big muscles are the reason they can't move well. But that's where the misconception begins. For some reason, strength and flexibility are often seen as opposites. The real thing keeping me consistent

The real thing keeping me consistent

In Teo´s journey to fixing her shoulder, she has learnt a lot about what it means to stay consistent. In this blog, Teo shares what surprised her the most. It hasn´t just been the accountability of having Coach Joran there, but something else too...

What's On

InBody measurements are an accurate body composition reading tool to help us see your quantifiable progress of your personal goals you and your trainer have defined together.

We will be able to track:
  • Analysis of body composition – muscle, body fat, water retention
  • Comparison analysis for upper/lower body and left/right side balance
  • Setting specific health goals
  • Tracking and comparing your progress with previous measurements

At Attika our priority is your health. We have met plenty of people with six packs that are totally miserable and unhealthy. Having a six pack can be a side effect of healthy habits and of course we can help you to get there, if you wish to do so. However, our priority is creating healthy mindset and habits towards becoming a better human, feeling good in your own skin, and having energy to keep going. The looks are a bonus 🙂

Cool!
