Why Quick Fixes Don’t Work (And What Actually Does)

Getting to your goals fast can sound appealing. It feels motivating. And for a moment, it gives us hope that change can happen quickly. But when it comes to your body, faster is not better. In fact, the faster you try to change it, the more likely it is to push back. At ATTIKA, we take a different approach. One rooted in physiology, not pressure. In sustainability, not shortcuts. Real results a...

Lose fat without losing your metabolism

Lose fat without losing your metabolism

Fat loss and metabolism don’t have to go hand in hand, but they can affect one another depending on how it´s done. Most people don’t struggle because they lose body fat. They struggle because of how they did it. Too much too soon, short-term pressure with no long-term plan... The result is often fatigue, frustration, and eventually, weight regain. Combatting fear of movement after injury

Your injury may have healed, but your body might still be protecting you. Sometimes we know we are being cautious. Other times we do not even realise we are compensating, leaning more on the other leg after a knee injury, limiting spinal movement after a back flare up, bracing without thinking. This article explores how the body protects itself after injury, often subconsciously, and how slow, ...

Are goals necessary in fitness?

Are goals necessary in fitness?

For some, numerical goals are motivating. Lifting a certain weight, training a set number of times per week, or reaching a performance milestone can create focus, structure and a strong sense of achievement. For others, however, those same goals can become heavy. They can turn movement into something to keep up with rather than something to enjoy. We explore how goals don´t have to add pressure...

At Attika our priority is your health. We have met plenty of people with six packs that are totally miserable and unhealthy. Having a six pack can be a side effect of healthy habits and of course we can help you to get there, if you wish to do so. However, our priority is creating healthy mindset and habits towards becoming a better human, feeling good in your own skin, and having energy to keep going. The looks are a bonus 🙂
