A day to pay respects to fallen Catalan soldiers who died defending the city of Barcelona during the siege of 1714. Many cultural centres will hold special exhibitions and open their doors for free that day. For full details read here

Whole of September
The fastest sailing boats on the planet compete up close in 3 rounds of racing, Round Robins, Semi-final and Final, which will decide the challenger to snatch the title from the defending champion, Emirates Team New Zealand.
