29th August–5th October
One of the world's most important regattas the America's Cup is about to begin in Barcelona. Come to the regatta race course and see the fastest sailing boats on the planet competing up close in 3 rounds of racing. Watching areas will be located in Port Vell along Moll de la Fusta. The beaches between Port Vell and Port Olímpic will also allow free viewing for everyone to see.

24th August

15th - 21st August
Arguably the best and biggest Festa Major of the city. Make sure you head over to Gràcia over this week in August for music, food, art and culture. Check the distinctive decorated street competitions that the locals have spent the whole year preparing for.

This month’s famous Electronic Brunch festivals are amongst the beautiful greenery of Jardins Joan Brossa in Montjuiic and have a really exciting mix of artists. From Black Coffee on the 11th, Honey Dijon on the 18th and Adriatique on the 25th

10-18th August
One of the biggest internation LGBTQ events has landed once again in the city. Since it began in 2008, it has turned Barcelona into the main LGBTIQ meeting point of the summer, For nine days, expect massive day and nighttime events plus a wide range of leisure, sports and cultural activities. The 15th Anniversary of this incredible music festival will feature the likes of Mario Beckman, Nina Flowers and Anne Louise

12th and 28th August
If you're a football fan, this is a chance for you to watch Barca play live! The Joan Gamper Trophy is a historic tournament, where FC Barcelona will be launching the 2024-2025 season squad to fans in a friendly match. For the past three years, this trophy has also had a women’s category, offering spectators the chance to enjoy one of the best women's teams in the world.
